Good Night - a problem of time.
Maybe I was lucky in that way, you could say.
Only in context, though, might the word - lucky - apply. You see, my elder sibling would be definable as a psychopath. It's labelled at present medically as a 'personality construct' but that sort of lessens the notable inflexibility of their, including my brother's, expressed affect. So... I have experience. Like anyone else who has been forced to deal with one, the same conclusion inevitably presents itself: however hard you try to manage the circumstance, whatever transient 'victories' you may have been able to execute, in the end the only option is to run. Without looking back. Or remove the person, physically, completely. Anything else results in your suffering, your own end and usually a world just a little bit, sometimes a lot, uglier. All the way ....to the final countdown.
Because self-referring systems like that - do not dialog. Or change. Again as others who've been forced to deal with such or even larger systems - after a time the bitter acceptance that often maybe more destructive than the perpetrator or perpetrators themselves is the societal not mere indifference but often reinforcement of the inevitable resultant unjust norm. You know: 'The horror, the horror.' The story, the story. Content enough within that fiction, they provide the cover and infrastructure to keep the narrative instead of exhibiting and effectuating real solidarity, real change. To the final. Count. Down.
There are aspects in any self-reflecting system that can be identified: parasitism. They steal. Everything, and I mean everything - it's all they know how to do; they project culpability while claiming merit belonging to others. Which is pretty clear. In humans, a social animal, social hierarchies are usually determinate; again in humans, they try to wreak havoc and sow confusion in order to detach others from reason and move them into easily manipulative mental states. That actually happens to us, neural pathways can be inhibited by external context provoking reaction, as if you're cut off from rationality; and, of course, they lie. Pretty much all the time. Even cancer cells do the same. More: they are motivated to recur to their own present expression at the expense of everything else if need be. To. The final countdown.
So.
Maybe it's resultant of a sort of very strong default response co-triggered by some kinds of early stress, in part. A bit like a cancer cell's hypothetical origins. In both cases though context is very, very important. Maybe in us its prevalence is something very new: you need to have technology advanced enough to maintain necessary resources over long periods of time and group sizes large enough to survive hegemonies of such unfit groups of dumb, ugly men organized around one or a few leading psychopathic men or much less frequently women. Who restrict access to those contained guaranteed resources. And all the lead-up regarding reproductive choices. In other words: fear has to become deeply ingrained in a stratified way into whatever the relevant system.
What does psychopathy or psychopathic systems and associated behaviors have to do with time and the problem of time? A lot. Because most importantly maybe: psychopaths tend to reduce the meaning of everything, confine expression, to the present only. No past or future meaning or consequence, no relativity: your stealing an apple is a crime worthy of years in jail while their stealing a hundred million from the government - from us - is nothing at all. Indeed: at least they-her-him-I didn't steal an apple like YOU did. Some pigs are more equal than others isn't even close. We're caged chickens. They - are Colonel Sanders. Gods. (Salut to Murakami)

Though it's very unclear how the trade deal done between vonderleyen and trump will actually go through - she had and has no authority whatsoever to sign such an agreement - never the less it.... tastes much like; a last nail in the coffin; the moment the Titanic hit the iceberg; Zidane's headbut on Materazzi: Europe's final countdown. The EU has led Europe and many of its peoples into a mess basically since the introduction of its exchange rate mechanism followed by weird currency but nearly all of its peoples over the past decade or so. (That'll be talked about in a near future post.) The trade deal would accelerate the ongoing dismantlement of industrialization and of the state - note the recent German econ. minister's statements on longer workweeks and social security age being raised to 74 years of age, etc. It follows the disaster of the ongoing Ukrainian project proxy war and all that implies (that, to, will be covered in a later post.) And the failed ironically titled 'green' policies that actually have little to do with global warming or carbon emissions or other devestating pollutions and more to do with...Blackrock and company. That will be shopping, actually stealing, much if not most of Europe. Indeed, that's already begun.
